What is NETNEWS?

New York Masons NETNEWS (or simply ‘NETNEWS’) is a new electronic means for Grand Lodge and its committees to communicate with Brothers on a regular and timely basis. NETNEWS will be published on the 15th of every month, including the summer. That’s right; NETNEWS will not go dark during the summer months!

NETNEWS will NOT replace the Empire State Mason. In fact, one of the goals of NETNEWS is to provide Brothers with information received after the publication deadline for the ESM. Every month, NETNEWS will focus on:

  • Messages from Grand Lodge Officers
  • Messages from Grand Lodge Committees
  • Local items / News by District
  • News from around the state
  • Calendars & upcoming events by District

Input for NETNEWS comes from the Grand Lodge Officers, Committee Chairmen and Appendant Bodies. However, content will also be collected and/or generated by an appointed representative in each District. Every month, you will be able to count on NETNEWS to provide you with important Masonic information you may not find elsewhere.
